Powderhorn is one of the best kept secrets in Colorado.  It is located 45 miles from Grand Junction on Grand Mesa one of the largest flat top mountains in the world. The resort is considered “low key” and is an ideal destination for families on a budget.

Off snow activities include visiting the nearby town of Palisade. The town is in the middle of Colorado wine country and you can tour over ten wineries.

The greatest benefit of Powderhorn are the beginner and intermediate slopes.  Once again, the resort is ideal for first time skiers and families.
