Fernie Alpine Resort is located in the Lizard Range of the Canadian Rockies about three and half hour drive from Calgary. The resort has the reputation of having “the best powder” in the rockies.

The resort has five large bowls and 2,500 acres of skiable terrain. Along with the bowls, Fernie has a significant amount of glade and trail skiing. There is plenty of terrain for skiers of all abilities.

The village is adequate with several après ski bars, shops and restaurants.  It also offers ski-in ski-out lodging. Likewise, there are affordable lodging options in the town of Fernie.

The resort also has two snowcat operators.
