Crested Butte Colorado is considered “the best ski town in America”. Although it is close to Aspen, the atmosphere is 180 degrees in the other direction. The town is known for friendly locals who fight tooth and nail to keep its rustic charm.
The mountain is a definite bucket list destination for any ski enthusiast. Although the resort claims that 57% of the slopes are intermediate. They tend to be more difficult than most intermediate slopes. This is a skier's mountain!
The resort and town offer numerous lodging options. Many visitors choose to stay in Crested Butte and enjoy a “real ski town”.
