Canyons resort is one of the three “Park City Resorts”.  Its former names were Park City West and Park West.  The resort is owned by Vail Resorts Corporation and is transitioning from a “ski area” to a “luxury resort”.   Vail resorts has announced a $50 million expansion project that will join Park City Mountain Resort with Canyons.  This expansion referred to “One Wasatch” would make the joint resort offering as the largest destination ski resort in the United States.

As a resort, Canyons has a lot to offer any ski enthusiast. The terrain caters to intermediate skiers but offers not only “higher end” intermediate slopes but also backcountry and sidecounty skiing.

Canyons Resort is popular with families for its family programing and close proximity to Park City.
